Spirituality, Your Way
Intro
Spirituality is often misunderstood. It does not require signing up for one belief system or religion. It’s about feeling connected to something larger than yourself and letting that connection shape how you live. Stay open-minded, notice the wisdom already in your body, and focus on language that feels right for you: Universe, Nature, God, Love, Life, Energy, Mystery, or no label at all.
There’s a rational case for this too. All the atoms in your body were once stars. We breathe what trees exhale and return nutrients to the earth. Nervous systems co-regulate, and moods ripple through groups. We are all part of one larger, living system. When we remember that, we connect to a deeper sense of belonging and courage within us. Think of us as unique branches on the same tree. You are meant to express your unique self in the world.
This tool helps you notice where you naturally feel spiritually connected, and design a practice so that awareness helps you show up at your best.
Instructions
- When do you feel naturally connected to the larger whole?Write the words, images, stories, places, or practices that work for you. Examples: being in nature, the word “OM,” a star origin story, a childhood tree, a favorite poem.
- What benefits and qualities does this awareness awaken in you?Name 3 to 5, such as calm, courage, kindness, gratitude, steadiness, focus, belonging, meaning. For any you choose, add one small way you might express it this week.
- How can you stay connected to spirituality, your way?Design a routine that feels right for you, to maintain this awareness daily, weekly, or at least monthly. For example, a weekly nature walk, three conscious breaths before meals, or saying an affirmation every morning.
